Enrollment

Parent Information Sessions and Tours to learn about the Multicultural Learning Center are held throughout the year. New enrollment into the dual language program is limited to kindergarten unless a child has an appropriate level of bilingualism to successfully enter into the program at a higher-grade level. Should our applications for kindergarten enrollment exceed our capacity, students will be admitted to the school through a random lottery held in March for entry the following September. If we do not fill all spots by the pre-scheduled lottery date, enrollment will remain open until all spots are filled. After all spots are filled, we will create a wait list. We will post names of enrolled students at the school and on our website (www.mlccharter.org).

After the enrollment lottery, parents must do the following:

· Attend Kinder Fair and Register Child on April 20, 2012

· Attend a tour of the school (if they haven't already)

· Attend a Welcome Visit with school staff during the summer

· Attend a Kindergarten Orientation during the summer

· Attend the first day of school

If any of these steps are not taken, a spot in the kindergarten will be given to the next child on the wait list. Should a space become available, parents whose children are on the wait list will be notified immediately. Once parents are called, they will have 24 hours to respond before we go to the next person on the wait list.

Parent Information Meetings take place at 7:00pm at MLC on the following days:
